Ingredients
🥔 500-750g Potatoes
🥦 1 head of Broccoli 400-500g
🧅 2 medium Red Onions, roughly chopped
🧄 2-3 cloves of Garlic, sliced
🧈 75-125g of Butter
🧂 Salt
⚫ Black Pepper, freshly ground
🌿 Oregano
💧 1/2 cup Cold Water 120ml
🌭 2 Pork Sausages Bratwurst
🌶️ 2-3 spoonfuls of Piccalilly, Brand: Bieze
Instructions
1- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks.
- Place them in a small pot, cover with water, and boil until tender.
2- Prepare the Broccoli:
- While the potatoes cook, cut the broccoli head into florets.
- Chop the florets into mashable pieces.
3- Sauté the Vegetables:
- Melt butter in a large red enamel pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped red onions and sauté until softened.
- Add chopped broccoli and continue to stir-fry.
- Slice and add the garlic cloves, stirring briefly.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and oregano.
4- Combine and Mash:
- Drain the boiled potatoes and add them to the pot with the vegetables.
- Mash the mixture with a wooden spoon, leaving some chunks for texture.
- Add more butter for creaminess and cold water to enhance mixing.
5- Cook the Sausages:
- In a separate frying pan, heat a little oil.
- Pan-fry the sausages until golden brown, cooking through evenly on all sides.
6- Final Touches:
- Continue to stir and mash the stoemp until smooth and flavors meld.
- Serve a generous portion of the broccolistoemp with the sausages alongside.
- Garnish with spoonfuls of Piccalilly.
