Instructions
1- Prepare Shrimp:
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add half a red onion, garlic, and salt.
- Add the peeled, deveined shrimp and cook on high heat for 12 minutes until shrimp turn pink. Remove and let cool.
2- Prepare Chocolate Clams:
- Clean the clams by opening them, removing internal organs, and rinsing thoroughly.
- Cut the clam meat into bite-sized pieces.
- Marinate clams in juice from 10 limes for 15 minutes.
3- Prepare Octopus:
- Chop the pre-cooked octopus into bite-sized pieces.
4- Prepare Vegetables:
- Dice serrano peppers, red onion, and tomatoes finely.
- Chop cilantro and dice the cucumber after deseeding it.
5- Assemble the Cocktail:
- Mix diced serrano peppers, onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and cucumber in a large bowl.
- Add ground pepper and mix well.
- Incorporate marinated clams, cooked shrimp, and octopus.
- Add 4 tablespoons of shrimp cooking broth and the Clamato juice.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
6- Chill:
- Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours to let flavors meld.
