- Orange slices (for garnish)
- Fresh mint (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Strawberry Hibiscus Agua Fresca:
1. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, bring 6 cups of water to a boil.
2. Add sugar and dissolve completely. Turn off the heat once the sugar is dissolved.
3. Add the hibiscus flowers to the hot sugar water and let steep for 20 minutes.
4. After steeping, strain the hibiscus water into a large jar. Add 2 additional cups of water and set aside.
5. In a blender, combine 15 strawberries and 4 cups of water. Blend until you achieve a smooth strawberry water.
6. Strain the blended strawberry water into the jar with the hibiscus water, mixing well.
7. Add the juice of one lime into the jar. Taste and adjust sweetness, adding more sugar or water if necessary.
8. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow it to chill thoroughly.
Mango Orange Agua Fresca:
1. Add the mango pulp and juice from the oranges into a blender.
2. Include 1 1/2 cups of sugar or your preferred sweetener and 4 cups of water. Blend until smooth.
3. Transfer the blended mango to your jar.
4. Stir in 4 more cups of water, orange juice, and the juice of two limes.
5. Taste and adjust for sweetness, making sure it's well combined.
6. Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least one hour.
To Serve:
- Serve the agua frescas over ice to keep them cold without dilution.
- You can garnish the Mango Orange Agua Fresca with extra mango chunks, orange slices, and a sprig of fresh mint.
- For the Strawberry Hibiscus Agua Fresca, add sliced strawberries and dried hibiscus flowers as garnish.
