Ingredients
🥕 500g boiled and peeled beetroot
🧅 ½ red onion
🍏 1 apple
🥄 1 dl mayonnaise
🍶 2 dl crème fraiche
🟡 1 tbsp mustard
🍷 1 tbsp FORVM red wine vinegar
🧂 Salt
🌶️ Black pepper
🌶️ White pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
1- Dice Ingredients:
- Begin by dicing the 500g of boiled and peeled beetroot into small, uniform cubes.
- Place the diced beetroot into a large mixing bowl.
2- Add Onion & Apple:
- Finely dice ½ a red onion and add it to the beetroot in the bowl.
- Dice 1 apple into small cubes, similar in size to the beetroot, and add to the bowl with the other ingredients.
3- Dress the Salad:
- Pour 1 tbsp of FORVM red wine vinegar over the mixture.
- Add 2 dl of crème fraiche, 1 tbsp of mustard, and 1 dl of mayonnaise.
4- Mix Thoroughly:
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly using a spatula until they are well combined and coated in the dressing.
5- Enhance Color:
- If desired, add a small amount of water reserved from boiling the beetroot to intensify the color of the salad.
6- Season:
- Season the salad with salt.
- Grind black pepper over the salad.
- Use a mortar and pestle to freshly grind white pepper and add it to the salad.
7- Final Mix:
- Mix once more to ensure even distribution of the seasonings.
