Ingredients
🧈 2 tablespoons "Natural" Butter
🫒 4 tablespoons "Naturel" Extra Virgin Olive Oil
🥔 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and very finely diced
🧅 2 medium-sized onions, chopped
🥩 16 oz cooked beef, finely diced
🧂 1 teaspoon salt from a green shaker
🌶️ 1 teaspoon black pepper from a green shaker
🌿 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
🍳 1 egg for frying
Instructions
1- Heat Oil and Butter:
- In a large frying pan or wok, heat 4 tablespoons of "Naturel" Extra Virgin Olive Oil over medium heat.
- Add 2 tablespoons of "Natural" Butter and allow it to melt and sizzle.
2- Fry Potatoes:
- Add the finely diced potatoes to the pan.
- Stir-fry constantly until they are cooked through and achieve a golden brown color.
- Remove using a spatula, transfer to a metal strainer to drain excess oil, and set aside.
3- Cook Onions:
- Using the leftover oil in the pan, add the chopped onions.
- Sauté, stirring frequently, until they soften and become translucent.
4- Brown the Beef:
- Add the diced beef to the sautéed onions.
- Stir-fry until the beef is heated through and lightly browned.
5- Season and Combine:
- Season the beef and onions with salt and pepper.
- Add back the potatoes, stirring well to incorporate and heat all ingredients through.
6- Add Parsley:
- Stir in the fresh parsley until well mixed.
7- Plate the Hash:
- Remove the hash from the pan and place it onto a serving plate.
8- Fry the Egg:
- In the empty pan, add a bit more oil if needed.
- Crack an egg into the hot pan and fry until the white is set, and the yolk remains runny.
- Baste the yolk with hot oil carefully to firm the top without overcooking.
9- Serve:
- Carefully place the fried egg on top of the Pytt i Panna on the plate.
