Instructions

1- Boil Water:

  • In a large pot, add the water and bring to a boil.

2- Cook Seal Meat:

  • Add the diced seal meat and reduce the heat to a simmer.
  • Let it cook for about 45 minutes.

3- Add Vegetables and Seasoning:

  • Add the garlic, onion, carrots, potatoes, sea salt, thyme, and bay leaf.

4- Simmer Stew:

  • Continue to simmer for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded together.

5- Finish Stew:

  • Remove bay leaf before serving.
  • Adjust seasoning as needed.

6- Heat Pan:

  • Heat seal fat or alternative oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

7- Season Seal Meat:

  • Season the sliced seal meat with sea salt and Regilee’s special seal spice.

8- Fry Seal Meat:

  • Once the pan is hot, add the seasoned seal slices.
  • Fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning halfway through, until browned and cooked through.

9- Serve Fried Seal:

  • Remove from heat and serve hot, ideally with a side of the seal stew or fresh greens.
