Instructions

1- Mix Dry Ingredients:

2- Combine with Liquid:

  • Create a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  • Into this well, pour 1/2 cup of warm water and 1 teaspoon of oil.
  • Stir with the spoon, gradually incorporating flour into the liquids until a rough dough forms.

3- Knead Dough:

  • Transfer the dough onto a clean wooden cutting board.
  • Knead by hand until it becomes smooth and pliable.

4- Portion and Shape Dough:

  • Shape the kneaded dough into a cylinder.
  • Using a metal dough cutter, divide the cylinder into four equal portions.
  • Roll each portion into a thin, oval shape using a wooden rolling pin.
  • Poke small holes into each flatbread with a fork.

5- Cook Flatbreads:

  • Heat a grill pan over medium heat; lightly coat the surface with oil.
  • Place a flatbread onto the hot grill pan.
  • Cook until dark brown grill marks appear on the bottom and the surface is golden.
  • Flip using a black plastic spatula and cook the other side until likewise marked and cooked through.
  • Repeat the grilling process for the remaining flatbreads.
