Instructions

1- Sauté Onion:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a Dutch oven or large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened and translucent.

2- Cook Bison:

  • Add the ground bison meat to the pot.
  • Season generously with garlic salt, freshly ground black pepper, chili powder, and cumin.

3- Brown the Meat:

  • Using a wooden spoon, break up the bison meat as it cooks.
  • Continue to sauté until the meat is fully browned with no pink remaining.

4- Add Tomatoes:

  • Pour in the can of diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  • Re-season with additional garlic salt, black pepper, chili powder, and cumin.
