šŸ§€ 250 grams Grated Cheese
šŸ§€ 250 grams Diced Cheese
🧈 1/2 cup Butter or Margarine

Instructions

1- Prepare Yuca:

  • Wash and peel the yuca.
  • Boil the yuca with a pinch of salt until very soft.
  • Set aside to cool slightly.

2- Grate Yuca:

  • Use the coarse side of a box grater.
  • Grate the cooked yuca into a large mixing bowl.

3- Mix Ingredients:

  • Add the butter or margarine to the grated yuca.
  • Knead by hand until combined with the butter or margarine.
  • Incorporate the grated cheese while continuing to knead.
  • Season with salt.

4- Add Diced Cheese:

  • Gently mix in the diced cheese.
  • Ensure the pieces remain mostly intact.

5- Adjust Consistency:

  • Add up to 1/2 cup of PIL Andina milk.
  • Maintain a moist consistency for baking.

6- Prepare for Baking:

  • Grease an aluminum foil baking tray.
  • Transfer the yuca-cheese mixture into the tray.
  • Spread evenly, pressing into a flat layer.

7- Top and Bake:

  • Sprinkle additional grated cheese on top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30-45 minutes.
  • Bake until golden and bubbly.

8- Pan-Fried Option:

  • Form the mixture into patties for a crispy alternative.
  • Cook in a lightly greased non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry until golden on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
